LAFS EPA Hearing Community Celebration
Many of us are planning on attending the EPA Hearings this week, which are going to be a powerful display of Louisianans standing up to the Oil and Gas Industry which are trying to extend their lifelines while greenwashing the continued toxic poisoning of our communities.
Enough is Enough! Over 300 people have signed up to speak at the Hearings over the next three days, and our friends at DSCEJ are providing a bus from New Orleans tomorrow to bring at least 40 people to show up against CCS in Louisiana.
We are welcoming everyone to the Capitol Park Museum from 12 pm - 4 pm tomorrow, June 21, 2023, to celebrate the public voice against CCS in Louisiana! There will be snacks, delicious food, water, and other drinks, flyers for future events, informational handouts, and more, as well as music and JOY!
This will also serve as a resting location after you have spoken at the EPA hearing, or a practice location while you get ready for your 3 minutes of fame!
We will have a live stream link to the EPA Hearing going so you don't have to miss anything while enjoying your snacks and celebration break.
I will also be live tweeting on LAFS Twitter Account: https://twitter.com/nofalsesolution and following along on our Instagram, Website, and Facebook - using the hashtags #noccsinlouisiana #nofalsesolutions #stoptoxicwasteinjection #listentothepeopleEPA tomorrow. Please use them as well as you create your own social media content!
We are excited and ready to stand up together and see you all tomorrow!
Protect Our Parishes - Stop Carbon Capture
The Louisiana Against False Solutions Coalition warmly invites you to join us on April 18 at the Louisiana State Capitol for Protect Our Parishes - Stop Carbon Capture. The event will be a full day of lobbying, testifying in committees, speaking to legislators, and making our voices heard at the highest levels of Louisiana government. All are welcome! Breakfast and lunch will be provided for all participants free of charge.
The event will run from 9am-4pm, but you can join for as long as you’re able. Please RSVP for the event here so that we can have an accurate headcount for food.
Never been to the capitol to lobby before? Never fear! Our trained volunteers will guide you every step of the way; all you need to do is RSVP and show up!
Again, here is the RSVP link for the event: https://forms.gle/kbmD2tDJQrY14ud5A.
